mare novum is a new Swedish Centre for development of marine innovations. It is a partnership between the University of Gothenburg and the five northern coast municipalities in Bohuslän; Strömstad, Tanum, Sotenäs, Munkedal och Lysekil.
mare novum provides counselling support for development of research-based innovations and business projects focusing on marine applications.
mare novum also acts as a gate for industry and others to the academic world and has an extensive network with research institutions both within Sweden and abroad.
mare novum mediates cooperation's between industry and others e.g. in joint R&D programs, arranging forum for discussions and seminars in relevant topics and support in commercialisation of innovative ideas.
